About:

My name is Michelle Erickson and I am a writer and artist living in Portland, OR. I like to hunt for things in faces, and derive no greater pleasure than sharing my findings with others via paper, charcoal, and watercolor. In some ways I consider my work more landscape than portrait, our visages as sprawling territories for exploring, but never fully understanding.

In addition to being influenced by the lovely Lara Stone, these particular pieces—my Summer Girls—were inspired by their namesake, the season of dusk, sensuality, and endless possibilities.
